Loslassen ..... Letting Go

loslassen

gedanken stehen still
kein gestern, kein morgen
im jetzt sein
leer werden
ruhe durchströmt dich
wie ein  warmer lufthauch

die tür zu deinem herzen
steht offen
du bist bereit anzunehmen
du vertraust
alles wird gut

Have a wonderful day!

Buchthema Mai/Juni ..... Reading Motto May/June

Bin gespannt!

New reading motto by die lesende Minderheit: Read a book with a personal name in its title. I will read "The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane" by Cate DiCamillo. A story about life and love. Exciting!

You know you've read a good book when you turn the last page and feel a little as if you have lost a friend.

Welcher Wolf gewinnt? ..... Which Wolf wins?

There are those days on which maybe not everything, but some things just go wrong. It's on those days that we tend to get caught up in our negative thoughts and feelings. But we always have a choice. Especially in moments like that, however we seem  to have forgotten it right then. A choice to direct our thoughts in a different, more joyful and positive direction. The following story always reminds me, that it is my choice which thoughts I nurture and which ones I just let go.

One Evening a Cherokee elder told his grandson about the battle that goes on inside people. He said: "My son, the battle is between the two 'wolves' that live inside us all. One is Unhappiness. It is fear, worry, anger, jealousy, sorrow, self-pity, resentment, and inferiority. The other is Happiness. It is joy, love, hope, serenity, kindness, generosity, truth, and compassion."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf wins?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Have a great day with energizing thoughts and good choices!

Kon-Tiki, Cake and Daffodils

Made a little trip yesterday with our guest to Oslo's Museum Island resp. Peninsula Bygdøy to visit the Kon-Tiki Museum. Filled with lots of information and interesting exhibitions!
After that we enjoyed delicious applecake plus hot chocolate or coffee at Hemma Hos. Apart from the great lunch and cake selection I especially liked their colorful daffodil decoration. I couldn't get enough of the happy yellow. I am really longing for summer and colors right now. Here up north it takes a bit longer till spring kicks in.

Gedanken / Thoughts

I actually wanted to share a few impressions from our trip to London last weekend, however in view of what is happening in Japan right now I do not feel like doing that.

Thinking of the people in Japan
